Blessings For the New Year

First - Wow! Hard to believe that Bill Cowher is stepping down as the coach for the Steelers. He will be missed. He was always fun to watch on the sidelines and did a great jon. May God continue to bless you coach Cowher.

Blessings For The New Year
As you may know we are sending out a fantastic book mark/card with your offering of any size in January. It was written by Dianne Bundt and is a wonderful card filled with scripture and prayer to start the New Year out right and to give you strength and encouragement throughout the New Year.

As I was reading over the card this morning one of the prayers really spoke to me. It is the one entitled, "Great Ideas". The prayer reads in part, " May you receive fresh insight to meet the challenges of each day and discover creative solutions to your problems."

Sometimes it seems that we face a reoccurring problem. Again and again we apply the same solution to the problem and get the same results and in a short time we are facing the problem again. Around and around the mountain we go.

God is the giver of wisdom. Proverbs 2:6 reads, "For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding". How wonderful it is to know that we can ask our Father for wisdom in dealing with the concerns of life and He will give it too us. We ask, we listen and He speaks to us. It might be a new way to deal with your crisis. It might seem a little odd (how odd was it to march around the walls of Jericho? ), but God will give you fresh ideas. Be encouraged as God loves you. He's for you and not against you. May this me the year that you receive fresh insight into your problems and gain victory!
