American Idol, Sharon Kay King, Spring Fever and more

American Idol
This week's America showed how it votes for musical talent - with it's eyes! How else can you explain why Antonella and Sanjaya are still in the show while more talented singers have been voted off? We are a visual nation. Speaking of visual nation - what's up with the Victoria Secret commercials? Somethings are better left as a secret. I must be old but I remember when those kind of commercials were never on TV. My seven year old daughter likes to blurt out, "Shield your eyes" and then runs over and put her hand over my eyes when those commercials come on. The ladies are still dominating. Top picks: Lakisha (Best voice but the eyes of America will keep her from being top 2), Melinda, Phil and Blake.

SHARON KAY KING
Wow. This lady is ripping it up on King of The Mountain. Her song, "You Never Gave Up On Me", is our champion song for the fifth week in a row. In a narrow victory she beat out the new release from Jim Mahalick, "New Hope Road". Will she be the first to be retired as King of the Mountain Champion with ten straight wins?

WHAT'S UP WITH THE STEELERS?
The Steelers released Joey Porter today. A great player, a team leader....To much for the new coach to contend with? Part of retooling the team ? A big surprise.

GENERAL RELIEVED OF COMMAND
Major General George Weightman was "relieved" of his command at the Walter Reed Medical Hospital. I'm sure the patients and their families are relieved as well. It boggles my mind to think that the brave men and women that serve this country in the military aren't privie to the very best, the very best, medical attention available in this country. They deserve our best.

I'm glad that changes are being made, I still think that the outgoing general could have been required to help clean up the mold and kill the cockroaches before he left.


Spring Fever
I heard the birds singing this morning, the snow is melting and I am looking ahead to warmer weather. Spring is right around the corner. I want to get my bike out and check out the new section of the "Rails to Trails" bike path that goes from Frostburg to Cumberland (MD). The trail is beautiful and this section was just completed last fall. The nice part - its all down hill from Frostburg to Cumberland!

New Music from the McKameys

Wow! I just added the new song from the McKameys and it is wonderful. I enjoy the McKamey's
music. I must say that this song, "You're Still God" is one of the best
songs that they have ever done (and they have made a lot of excellent
music). I will be receiving the full project soon along with some
